Scrabble is a word-word board game that involves 2 to 4 players competing to collect points based on word values formed from letter pieces on a checkered board (15 columns and 15 rows).
The piece is in the shape of a square with one letter written on its face. Each player takes as many as seven pieces of letters from a pocket, then tries to form words horizontally or descending like a crossword puzzle. The words formed should appear in a general dictionary corresponding to the language being played. The player who collects the highest number of points is the winner.
Scrabble is sold in 121 countries in 29 language versions around the world. One hundred million sets of Scrabble games are sold worldwide, and every three families in America have one set of Scrabble games.
